Gold Rock Investment Fiji Limited presented a cheque of $15,000.00 to Athletics Fiji to help boost the team’s preparations for the 2017 Mini Pacific Games in Vanuatu next month.
Gold Rock is one of the largest locally-based and owned stone crushing quarries in Fiji. Located in Dawasamu, Tailevu and specialize in crushing River Basalt Rock producing up to 600,000 cubic meters annually.
Present at the handover was FASANOC and Athletics Fiji President Joseph Rodan Snr, Gold Rock General Manager Joseva Gavoka, Gold Rock Head of Finance Asesela Serau and Gold Rock’s Head of Exports and Marketing Maurice Erasito.
“Athletics Fiji is definitely appreciative of this timely boost which will definitely help the team in their preparations as we’re looking to regain our number 1 spot in the region,” said Mr. Rodan.
“For us, Gold Rock, we have a lot of markets around the Pacific, particularly in Vanuatu and this will provide us with the perfect opportunity to take our brand across alongside the well known brand of Athletics Fiji and it truely is an honor for us,” said Erasito.
Athletics Fiji is sending a total of 27 athletes, 3 coaches and 2 managers and will be departing for Vanuatu on the 9th of December.
