Athletics Fiji will be represented by 10 athletes to the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games that will be held in Turkmenistan in the city of Ashgabat from the 17th to the 27th of this month. The team will be accompanied by team manager, Athletics Fiji Executive member and former national rep Calvin Yee who will also serve as the coach’s representative for the various athletes.
The team comprises of 5 male athletes and 5 female athletes who have all been consistent national leaders in their various disciplines since the beginning of the 2017 Athletics Fiji competition season. The team consists of Makereta Naulu, Elenani Tinai, Mereoni Bonasere, Braelynn Yee, Serenia Ragatu, Mustafa Fall, Samuela Railoa, Aaron Powell, Avikash Lal and Errol Qaqa. Athletics Fiji will be frequently posting updates, pictures, videos, and post and pre events’ analysis of our athletes.
Members of the larger Fiji team presented their “i-tatau” yesterday to Fiji President Joji Konrote and they all will be departing tomorrow morning.
