The 2017 Northern FMF Chow Games is underway at Subrail Park, Labasa with the first events of the day being the:
- Under 9 Girls and Under 10 Boys Long Jump
- Under 9 Boys and Under 10 Girls Cricket Ball Throw and
- the finals of the 1500m
What makes the Northern FMF Chow Games unique is the fact that the track events will take place on a 300m track.
Over the next two days, Subrail Park will see 992 athletes from 11 districts take center stage with the help of over 100 volunteers that includes students, teachers and parents.
